What is basic inheritance?

Geldsack

We call Basic Inheritance a one-time seed capital that should be available to every citizen - regardless of his or her origin and practically unconditional.

The foundation will make the start and in the next years annually raffle 10 basic inheritance à 15.000€.

The basic inheritance can be used for education or for a start-up, for buying apartments or building houses, capital investment or private old-age provision. The purpose of the basic heritage is to level the economic start chances of young adults and to stimulate personel capital accumulation.

The current state of our (german) law of succession:

The family or legal inheritance law:

exist!

The assets of a deceased person are transferred to the physically related descendants according to a legally determined distribution key.

The right to make a will:

exist!

Before his death, the testator decides who will own his estate later.

The basic inheritance law:

MISSING!

Urgently necessary addition of our inheritance law to provide all those with a minimum starting capital for their lives who do not have rich parents or patrons. This is half the population.

Our concrete proposal for a basic inheritance in Germany.

20.000 € for the 30th birthday

Every citizen can take up the basic inheritance once in his or her life at the age of 30. It is paid from a fund fed by a small levy on larger inheritances. Only about 5% of the annual inheritances amount will be needed to finance the fund for the basic heritage.

Autonomous, independent use

The person entitled to a basic inheritance chooses an asset on the open market, which is then paid out of the basic fund. He must keep this property for three years, after which he is completely free to use it. If the money is to be used for training earlier than 30, the basic inheritance can be used earlier.

Rich heirs pay back their basic inheritance

In principle, anyone who has not yet inherited or received major gifts at the age of 30 is entitled to a basic inheritance. If someone later inherits some assets privately, he or she repays the basic inheritance into the fund. However, he or she repays only a maximum of 20% of the privately inherited inheritance. This means that he must only fully repay the basic inheritance received in the case of a later heritage worth € 100,000 or more.

Clear advantages:

No additional tax burden for the citizen

The basic inheritance is financed solely from moderate levies on rich inheritances.

Encouraging personal responsibility

You decide for yourself how to use it.

Strengthening the economy

The basic inheritance supports everyone in implementing their own ideas.

Promotion of equal opportunities

more financial equality at the start, more perspectives for everyone.

Promotion of economic education

The basic inheritance will stimulate the entire education system to sensitize the youth for the handling of capital.

Small bug in the video: The basic heritance requires 5% of the annual hereditary mass, but not everyone has to give 5%. There can be high allowances. e.g. 400.000€?
